    Product  Description

Cupric sulfate is a salt created by treating cupric oxide with sulfuric acid. This forms as large, bright blue crystals containing five molecules of water (CuSO4∙5H2O) and is also known as blue vitriol. The anhydrous salt is created by heating the hydrate to 150 °C (300 °F). Cupric sulfate is used primarily for agricultural purposes, as a pesticide, germicide, feed additive, and soil additive. Some of its secondary uses are as a raw material in the preparation of other copper compounds, as a reagent in analytic chemistry, as an electrolyte for batteries and electroplating baths, and in medical practice as a locally applied fungicide, bactericide, and astringent.

Copper is an essential trace element and an important catalyst for heme synthesis and iron absorption. After zinc and iron, copper is the third most abundant trace element found in the human body. Copper is a noble metal and its properties include high thermal and electrical conductivity, low corrosion, alloying ability, and malleability. Copper is a component of intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUD) and the release of copper is necessary for their important contraceptive effects. The average daily intake of copper in the USA is approximately 1 mg Cu with the diet being a primary source. Interestingly, the dysregulation of copper has been studied with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases, such as Wilson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. Data from clinical observations of the neurotoxic effects of copper may provide the basis for future treatments affecting copper and its homeostasis.

    Application

Used in the chemical industry to manufacture other copper salts such as cuprous cyanide, cuprous chloride, cuprous oxide, and other products. The dye industry is used to produce copper containing monoazo dyes such as reactive brilliant blue, reactive violet, phthalocyanine blue, and other copper complexing agents. It is also a catalyst for organic synthesis, spices, and dye intermediates. The pharmaceutical industry is often used directly or indirectly as an astringent and as an auxiliary raw material for the production of isoniazid and pyrimidine. Copper oleate is used in the paint industry as a toxic agent for antifouling paint on the bottom of ships. The electroplating industry is used as an additive for sulfate copper plating and wide temperature full bright acidic copper plating. Food grade used as an antimicrobial agent and nutritional supplement. Used as pesticides and copper containing pesticides in agriculture.

1.Used as fungicide and cupric pesticides(Bordeaux mixture) in agricultural field, can be used to kill the fungi, prevention and control of fruit trees diseases.
2.Widely used in the prevention and treatment of fish diseases in aquaculture. Can also be used for algae removal in paddy fields and pond.
3.Important trace elements fertilizer in agriculture and important trace element for animal feed additives.
4.Used as the electrolyte in electrolyse refined copper.
5.As activator in non-ferrous metals flotation.

Note: According to the customers’ specifications and packaging requirements.

Lined with polyethylene plastic bags, wrapped in plastic woven bags or sacks. Each bag has a net weight of 25kg and 50kg. Feed grade copper sulfate is packaged in food grade low-pressure polyethylene film bags wrapped in polypropylene woven bags. Each bag has a net weight of 25kg. Poison. Hazard Code No.: GB6.1 Class 61519. Stored in a dry warehouse, it is not allowed to store and transport together with edible commodities, seeds, and feed. During transportation, it should be protected from rain and sunlight. Handle with care during loading and unloading to prevent damage to the packaging. In case of fire, water and various fire extinguishers can be used to put out the fire. Copper and its salts are toxic. Irritating to skin, dust irritates eyes. Therefore, the maximum allowable concentration of metal copper in the working environment is specified as 1 mg/m3, with an average of 0. 5% per shift 5mg/m3。 When there are aerosols of copper (Cu) and its compounds in the air, workers should wear masks to prevent inhalation. Wear protective glasses. Wear dustproof work clothes. Take a warm shower after work.
