Anhydrous borax/sodium tetraborate appearance is white crystalline or colorless vitreous crystal. It has strong hygroscopicity and can soluble in water and glycerol. Anhydrous borax is the product obtained when borax is heated to 350-450 ℃. When placed in air, it can be hygroscopically changed into borax decahydrate or borax pentahydrate.
