Anhydrous borax/sodium tetraborate appearance is white crystalline or colorless vitreous crystal. Anhydrous borax is the product obtained when borax is heated to 350-450 ℃. When placed in air, it can be hygroscopically changed into borax decahydrate or borax pentahydrate.
